Leonor began working in Chile, at the middle of the 1990s, in different areas of psychology: creating psychosocial reintegration workshops for prisoners, as a human resources consultant for companies and providing psychological care in a number of mental healthcare centres. During that time, she also worked at Chile 's Universidad Central as an Assistant Lecturer in Social and Community Psychology, Clinical and Pathological Psychology and in Psychiatry. Upon completion of her training as a psychotherapist at Santiago de Chile's Post-Rationalist Therapy Society (a course supervised by Vittorio Guidano and accredited by the country's National Clinical Psychologists Commission), she was awarded a grant to study in Spain to continue developing her specialist field of clinical psychology. As a result, in 2002 she obtained a Masters in Cognitive-Social Therapy from the University of Barcelona. She trained in psychotherapy in a number of centres (both public and private) in Barcelona, her home for 9 years and where she worked as a self-employed psychotherapist. Her articles were published in the journal Revista de Psicoterapia and, up until 2007, she collaborated with the Center of Applied Psychology of Barcelona (PROA). She has specialised in the treatment of anxiety-based, phobic, obsessive and food-related imbalances. She also treats forms of bipolar imbalance, forms of psychotic imbalance and a variety of existential issues with normality. She provides psychotherapy for individuals, both adults and adolescents. Additionally, she offers clinical case supervision for psychotherapists interested in understanding the constructivist model. She has wide professional experience in the field of psychotherapy. Her approach is basically constructivist, based around the post-rationalist model. She currently lives in Santiago de Chile. |
